- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 3 1/2 cups rolled oats quick or old-fashioned
1Measure out rolled oats, peanut butter, and vanilla into a mixing bowl. Don’t mix.
2Mix butter, sugar, milk, and cocoa together in a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
3Quickly stir in the rolled oats, peanut butter, and vanilla.
4Return the saucepan to the burner and, while stirring, cook on low for 1 more minute.
5Drop by spoonfulls onto wax paper or aluminum foil as quickly as possible. Cool to set.
